UPDATE: TransContainer Jan–Jun RAS net profit rises 31.8% to 3.6 bln rbl

MOSCOW, Jul 23 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian leading railway container operator TransContainer grew 31.8% on the year to 3.626 billion rubles in January–June, as calculated under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS), the company said in a statement on Monday.
The company attributed the increase to growth of rail car and container cargo traffic and operating efficiency measures. The net profit margin gained increased to 26.2% in the period from 22.3% in the same period of 2017.
Revenue increased 14.5% to 34.867 billion. Revenue adjusted for cost of services of co-contractors went up 12.1% to 13.854 billion rubles.
Operating costs adjusted for costs of services of co-contractors increased 6.9% to 9.593 billion rubles. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization went up 23.7% to 6.410 billion rubles.
Net debt of TransContainer rose to 2.956 billion rubles as of the end of June from 1.680 billion rubles as of the end of 2017.
